Wearable Art Mandurah @ Parmelia House

Date: April 30 – May 31 2018

Wearable Art Mandurah @ Parmelia House  presents 9 local, national and international artworks, as part of an invitation only exhibition.

Curated by Denise Fisher, the exhibition cleverly groups artworks to reflect and compliment the aesthetics of their elegant contemporary surrounds.

Internal Transparency and Sky & Water 111 present a dramatic statement, while It Takes a Village to Raise a Child and Framed Perspective add a pop of bright colour. Star Power, living up to its title, acts as an entry statement and sets the tone of the exhibition. Illuminated in the window are Metal Maiden, Patches Off, Are You Thirsty? and the reveal of this year’s collaborative progressive garment, Skrydstrup Woman, whose journey was recreated and retold by six artists, who dreamt her memories and brought them back to life through cloth, thread and stitch.
